Students that would be reticent to share their views in an on ground setting are glib and articulate in a virtual classroom. This one phenomenon brings validity to online environments in and of themselves.<BR/><BR/>But it also provides a meaningful way of thoughtfully communicating ones ideas and opinions on the subject matter. Writing has a way of providing a filter or a time delay in presenting one's thoughts publicly, and allows the student to reflectively ruminate over their posting before they publish their comments. There are certain students that can dominate a classroom situation; yet, in the online world, everyone is heard and listened to.
